COURSE #5
Introduction to Statistical Process Analysis (SPA)

Description/Purpose
This introductory course is designed to provide participants with a strategy for the effective use of statistics in process management and analysis. Traditional SPC methods and control charts are treated as part of a broader data analysis perspective. Real-world challenges may sometimes require non-traditional approaches to data analysis and these situations are not usually covered in traditional SPC courses. SPA shows how to address these cases. Emphasis is on visual examination of data plots, statistical thinking and problem solving, and an intuitive understanding of statistical modeling.
