Introduction to Six Sigma – "Statapult" Session

(May be combined with the DMAIC session)


Description/Purpose
This course will provide participants with an overview of Six Sigma strategy and methodologies. In a workshop setting, students will be introduced to the tools used for systematic business performance improvement. An example of transactional process optimization is shown (delivery time improvement) and attendees will participate in a hands-on exercise in process improvement.

Target Audience
Anyone interested in receiving a quick introduction to Six Sigma tools and strategy should attend. Participants should be prepared to take part in a hands-on demonstration of the effectiveness of some simple tools used for process improvement.

Time Requirement
4 hours (Note: May be combined with the DMAIC session for a more complete 8 hour class)
